FUCK LIGHT RAP

Ok now this post might mentioned some shit I've already spoke on while hating on scion and scion related bullshit but fuck this bullshit Superbowl pregame performance has fueled the fire that is my hatred for this light rap bullshit. Really, who in the fuck buys this shit? How in the hell did Black Eyed Peas ever sell any copies of their bullshit record? I can'’t even imagine what kind of stupid piece of shit would actually buy their fucking album but obviously some did because these motherfuckers are up for a goddamn grammy. I don't actually know anyone that listens to hiphop that listens to this shit so I can only assume that the ones that do are fucking soccer moms who think its great for their bullshit hiphop dance aerobics class.

Fuck when it comes to shitty redundant ass pop music these BEP motherfuckers are at the top of the list. Seriously if you own their latest album call me because I want to kick your motherfucking ass. Do you remember when they didn’t have that whore in the group? I do and I remember their big hit song “Falling Up” and then there was the next song “Joints And Jams” that sounded just like “Falling Up.” If you were lucky enough to buy their album you also found out that every one of their fucking songs sounded just like Falling Up. I still kick myself in the ass for that mistake. Then these shitheads get nominated for a motherfucking Grammy? What in the fuck kind of shit is that? For a fucking watered down version of their stupid ass song no less. What happened to rappers who had backbones and didn’t give a fuck if people got offended? No these soft bitches couldn’t stand to call their stupid song “Lets Get Retarded” so in an attempt to be more clear channel friendly they changed the name to “Let’s Get It Started.” And their music is in the same section as NWA’s????

Some people think it's wrong of me to criticize this positive bullshit but I say fuck that. I'm sick of motherfuckers acting like this is fucking superb music just because your mom doesn't get mad when you listen to it. I think I have every goddamn right to say this shit sucks and I'll fucking tell you why. It is not because this is some goddamn unity bullshit that I don't like it. It's because the music does nothing to challenge shit. I like music that has some bite to it not some fucking non-threatening soft shit that tries to suck up to mainstream America's idea of what good rap is suppose to be. Public Enemy was great because they didn't take no shit and stood for what they believed in regardless of whether or not a bunch of soft motherfuckers thought they were too extreme with their beliefs. They had an aggressive energy that made their music exciting and that's something that has been lost in most contemporary "conscious" hiphop or whatever the fuck you want to call it.

You want to know why I don't like Common's latest work? Well it's because I thought it was fucking boring, passive, mediocre and just fucking wack overall. I thought Common was trying to hard to create some stupid idea of this musical genre bending piece of shit art. Just because his heart is in the right place does not mean I have to like the music that he creates. Leave that bullshit for shitty mtv aids commercials. Yeah it's nice to have a message but remember this is fucking music, it's suppose to sound good too. If all you care about is the message then stop rapping and start lecturing. Just because you have some fucking hunky-dory concept behind your music that doesn't allow you to pass off your shit music as some next level garbage when the execution sucks.

Now I don't think Common is as bad as BEP but I do think Common should be embarrassed because he has the talent to be fucking dope where as BEP has always been totally shitty. Common and many others like him should be better and I should like them but they keep coming with this wack ass smoothed out hiphop bullshit. Hiphop does not need a Kenny G, we've already got Will Smith for that. I feel that the music does nothing to challenge this shit but rather just sticks to some predictable generic sound that is your typical conscious hiphop bullshit. Fuck this is the reason I can't stand most spoken word. Just because it worked for one person that doesn't mean all you motherfuckers need to rock the same style.

Should I be telling motherfuckers how to rap? Naw, they can make whatever the fuck kind of music they wish but that isn't going to stop me from stating my opinion on it. Some other folks might like that positive rap shit but just because some stupid clueless bitch in birkenstocks likes to do some bullshit dance while she attempts to sing along to a Rakaa's freestyle and then gets confused when the words aren't the same so this bitch turns to her other headwrap sporting friend standing in line to get her Dilated Peoples poster autographed and tells her that they are doing the wrong song over the beat but her dumbass friend just shrugs her shoulders because she doesn't know what the fuck a freestyle is either so these two stupid ass girls go back to doing their shitty dance on the lawn at ASU, this does not mean that I'm going to like the fucking music. After witnessing this bullshit I turn to my friend Scott and told him I don't even want to be around the dumbasses that are paying money to go to the show tonight if the free concert is full of these morons. I don't care that Blackalicious and Lateef are performing I just can't put up with those damn light rap fans and they make me not even want to go to shows.

I don't think every album out there needs to be on some hard as fuck type shit but damn easy up on the soft shit. I wanted more in in 1995, I do NOT want it anymore. I do not like to see rappers on stage with 3 back up singers. Your favorite live hiphop band does not need to sound like every other fucking live hiphop band that sounds like the Roots circa 1996. Just because you just discovered some hiphop that no longer makes you feel uncomfortable does not mean I have to actually give a fuck.
