Someone needs to inform rappers that just because they perform in front of people that does not mean they are actually smart or that Behold A Pale Horse is a good read. Getting high and talking about the art of war or how stars align with the water molecules in your penis does not mean you're a fucking genius. All that shit means is that you were able to remember an idea you thought was brilliant when you were high. Maybe some rappers are confused and think the 4 elements make them Chemical Engineers.

Oh and then there are the idiot underground rappers who think they are geniuses because they use words that they only vaguely know the definitions of. Using multi-syllables doesn't make you're IQ go up. Being a political is more than screaming some bullshit about unity and how people need to be motivated. Just because you can rap about how we need to come together does not make you a political activist. Songs that do not really addressing anything, just very general and all about generic unity bullshit as if that meant anything are fucking worthless. Your barely left of center non threatening political beliefs are hardly revolutionary. Fuck, if you're going to take that route have the balls to actually challenge people beliefs. Outside of a handful of people, hiphop's political "leaders" are pretty embarrassing. Fuck probably the only guy left whose ideas I still respect is Chuck D. Some folks have good intentions but then you got dumb motherfuckers discouraging people from even getting off their as to vote because they think robots control everything. Then there is the whole business aspect of this shit and that's got a whole other kind of stupid. Being naive is one thing but being a fucking dumbass is another. You got broke rappers complaining about getting hated on but yet never load up into a van and just start touring. Fucking dumbass fools like Defari who can't seem to grasp the concept that other people have worked to build their following. I don't give a shit if you don't like Atmosphere but you have to respect what Slug has built. Rhymesayers have worked their ass off to build the following they have so motherfuckers who fucking cry because they can't sell out shows that some fucking "emo rapper" from the Midwest can need to shut the fuck up and get in a fucking van. Stop fucking crying about how you can't make money; go out and get that shit. If you think you got the skills then get the fuck up off your ass and start grinding. Don't sit there whining because people don't give a fuck about your irrelevant ass.

Dumbass rappers just can't see forest beyond their hypemen. Your boys might be stroking your dick but if you're not out there putting in that work you're never going to do anything. Why sit at home smoking blunts and playing Madden with your boys when you could be out promoting your shit. Stupid lazy motherfuckers, look at the shit Sonzala is doing for SXSW. He's putting in more of an effort into the careers of rappers than some of the rappers are. Then you got fucking crybabies complaining because they think SXSW is some weak underground hiphop shit full of heiro shirts. It's that stupid thinking that keeps them at the community center level. Stupid rappers don't realize that SXSW isn't just some fucking festival shit where you perform for 12 year old fans. It's bigger than that and can open some doors for bigger opportunities. It isn't going to make you're career but if you pimp it right it can definitely put you in a better position to move forward. But do rappers realize any of this shit? Not really, some do but there are plenty that don't and just end up in the same bullshit cycle pushing the same bullshit ideas. Whether it's thinking radio is only way to blow or quoting William Cooper's fucked up ideas.
