Hard As Fuck Vol 1

So after having enough folks ask me if they could buy the first Hard As Fuck tape I decided I should just put it on the internets. Over the weekend I decided to dig up the stack of records I picked for it and just record that motherfucker all over again. Some songs are missing though and that's because I couldn't find the records, I still got them somewhere problem is I've moved since the last time I did that shit and it's hard out here for a pimp. Another reason to record this shit again is because the first one sounded like shit. I stand by the songs but I apologize for how amature that shitty tape was. The new version sounds better, not great but at least it doesn't have the blown out levels that the last one did. Excuse the trainwrecking but apparently drinking beers does not improve my non existent "skills."

The whole idea for this mix came about a few years ago when I was working a shitty video store job that I fucking hated. I'd hit up amoebas clearance bin on my days off and come up on a bunch of southern rap that folks weren't playing in clubs. A few people were playing some cuts but no one was dropping the real hard cuts. Hell when did you ever year I'll Beat Your Ass in a club, stilletos was all over but the b-side is the real gem on that 12". As time went by this stack of rowdy rap 12"s began to pile up on my floor and I started to kick around the idea to just say fuck it and do this shit cause it became very apparent that no one else was going to man up. I think the record that ultimately made me decide to just record the shit was Fuck Where You From because that transformers sample fucking destroys my mind. I love that shit so much and it never got the play it deserved. I don't care that it was on one of kay slays wack compilations that shit is motherfucking dope. I didn't want to restrict this shit to just new southern shit either so I decided it needed some older fast westcoast shit too. The shit is kind of scatter brain since I did this shit straight through and usually what decided what came next was whatever the fuck song I really wanted to hear at that moment.
