Last night I went to Milk for Matthew Africa's Best Of R Kelly dual cd release party. It was what the kids call fun. Stef brought masks and wore Matthew's Free Kells shirt.

Going Hard and Drinking Crap

That right there is a Wipe Me Down from Charlie's Pharmacy. They got a new menu with new drinks and shit. They still got the cutty bang but it's no longer on the menu. The wipe me down is made up of Bicardi Peach Red, Seagram Apple, Seagram Orange Twist and a Mac Dre Hunid Racks energy drink. I hate caffeine but figured fuck it, it's called the wipe me down I should try it. It actually didn't taste too bad and put me on an interesting drunk that made me real antsy. Fortunately I just kicked it with some friends last night, if I had gone out I think it would not have been a good move.

I've been going pretty hard since last Wednesday when I kicked off the weekend at Milk for the Wax party that Stef and Rascue have been doing every week now. It's all vinyl and shit, no ipod dj bullshit. The party was fun but the main event for me was Thursday night at Madrone which was when it went down real fucking hard. The Hard As Fuck party went off real proper. I wish I could have recorded the sets but fuck it. If you weren't there you missed out. The music was real on point.

I had some friends come up from LA just to throw down and dudes were like "fuck man every song was the realest shit." I yelled a lot of rap words and jumped around getting excited for some hardcore shit. I was just kind of in my own little world listening to a night of hella banging raps that I enjoy but never get to hear get played in the club. I'm definitely going to be doing another one of these but it won't be for a few months. Turnout was real good too, I was just glad to pay dudes for putting it down like that. I was suppose to set up a merch table but when I got there I didn't want to fuck with it. I felt like hanging out, not sitting there trying to sell cds to drunks. Besides I wanted to enjoy the 2 dollar beers along with the raps.

Seriously though thanks to everyone who came out for this shit. Especially the people who helped put this shit down Stef, Shane King(Kult Radio), Traci P(PumpkinCutterProjects), Mike2600, Matthew Africa, Morsecode and B.cause. Without these people shit wouldn't have popped off the way it did. I just had an idea but it's fucking dope to see shit like this going down cause no one is fucking with it anywhere.

Friday night Mike and I met up with Thuggy for papusas at El Zocalo's, that spot is fucking dope and hella cheap. 1.80 for a papusa. After that we hit the knockout for some Hamm's before decided to roll to milk for the Bored Stiff show that Zman was hosting/performing at. Ended up getting real faded and having to break out of there before I got trapped in a world of all bad.

Then saturday night was drinking the Wipe Me Down and beers at Thuggy's while we watched UFC fights on his amazing surround sound system that is dominated by his huge 13" tv. Houston Alexander is a fucking beast. The best part of dude's video is after the fight and the announcers says "That dude is VIOLENT!"

This Weekend

Kicking this shit off on thursday with a Devin The Dude show at mezzanine, shit is gonna go down propers. There are actually a few things going down thursday. Fucking Kingmost and Kero one are at madrone. At Club 222 is the Double Up party with Sick Girl, Super Dunny, Shezilla, LL Cool Dj, and Lady Chen. Friday B.Cause, Ross Hogg, Kingmost, Satva, and Vinroc are at Poleng Lounge. The Demolition Men are at Milk that night also. I kind of want to see what those dudes are gonna play but I don't want to deal with Zion i twice in the same week, I can't fuck with their shit. That and I'd rather see a bunch of folks at poleng anyways, with that line up it's bound to be fun no matter how many drunk filipinos are crowding my space. Saturday I don't know of shit going down other than the Pish Posh Got Howls cd release party at club 222 with Swayzee, Lazer Sword, Ghosts On Tape and some other dudes I know nothing about.

but yeah if you're wise you will be seeing Devin kill that shit at mezzanine.

Rap Parties

A few things going down that I may or may not be attending.

The first of which is the Drip Drop party at Madrone this thursday. White Gurl Lust and Buddy Leezle are performing so that shit should be down. I'm gonna try but my work has all but killed my attempts at going out during the week. Hopefully they are cool with me coming in a little late on friday, but fuck staying late I'm trying to hit Night of the Remix that night.



Fucking Friday Stef's doing her spindig happy hour joint at 330 Ritch. Hopefully I can show up to that some what on time. Problem is I need to make sure I eat before I go because what sometimes happens is I'm there drinking until 9 and then come home and have to head out around 10. That hour at home usually consist of drinking beers and not eating. The result is me being on smash around 11:30, which is not the wisest. Pace will be the word of the day on friday.




as for saturday, I don't know. I can't really plan that far in advance. Well that and I don't think I've heard of anything real cool. Oh shit fucking forgot, it's my friend Max's birthday party, motherfucking 2007 Tall Can Marathon Champion. Shit yeah I'm trying to roll to that. Sunday there is some block party thing at 111 Minna for Al Gore's son's magazine. Might hit that but I guess you have to sign up for a subscription to attend or some shit. Also doesn't help that half the people on this flyer are fucking garbage. Really the main draw for me is really just drinking outside on a sunday, I like doing that even though it makes mondays at work more of a pain.
