Last Night I Went To See Boris

Boris (myspace) is a japanese band that does some heavy droned out metal type shit, they also get cute when they go faster. I didn't know they were touring until I came across some flyer in seattle that said they would be there. When I got back I check and turns out they were at slims but on a wednesday which sucks because the old man is having a hard time with going out during the week. Having to be at work at 8:30 isn't helping. Also trying to handle power tools when you're hungover isn't the wisest move. But fuck that shit, I'd never seen them live so I went. I hadn't been to a rock show in a minute either so I figured I needed to change it up a little.

Boris was fucking dope but the crowd was a bunch of dudes who looked like they wanted to go to sleep, just a sea of slow bobbing heads. Hell it was like being at the laziest rap show ever. Shit even if these motherfuckers cared they still wouldn't be able to wave their hands in the air. When they came out for the encore my friend Mike and I decided it was time to start a pit since no one else was going to do that. Shit was fun and I left with their new record.






on the way home I grabbed a corn dog and took a picture of my nearest liquor store.
