…that didn’t make the Pitchfork ’90s tracks list.

(this is a crazy exercise obviously — this is really just a list of some songs that I never get tired of. In a couple cases, I chose tracks by artists who who made the pfork list, and in others I just switched it up entirely. I could redo this maybe a hundred times w/ 10 different songs in each one but then it wouldn’t have the pointless trivial-ness of a top ten countdown would it.)

I don’t fuck with either of these list. I mean WTF, I can’t fuck with a list that rides for bone thugs or some bullshit wutang revisionist history

Man we’ve talked about this before lists in general suck. On the other hand I think it helps to tell ppl what yr about & to look at what aesthetics are being ignored in other people’s views of history of the time.

yeah my hate for all things Bone Thug just runs really deep.

I know why you did this and that can be appreciated but a list in general isn’t worth it to me because it takes a stand of this is more important than that and with every list there is something being ignored. Somethings should ignored but what really bothers me about that is that is usually results in the death of a story. Every list writes something out of history, given this is an attempt to circumvent that but that is my general stance on lists.
