This is my favorite track off this album, the way the beat incessantly grinds through the whole song and Mestizo’s restrained pace becomes more pronounced with that reverb echoing those stressed vowels for just that much more emphasis. You can hear how tight his fist are clenched. I really like when he fucks with these slow dark beats (peep let it spray if you haven’t). Fast rap is fun and all but simmering anger is more fun.
Go get the album, it’s worth it.

Young Dro, Gucci and TI all coming tight on this shit. TI is probably the most surprising considering how weak his shit has been. Dro and Gucci shine the most though. Everyone steamrolls their verses with ease, that’s the kind of rapping I want to hear, just barrel through the raps and force the words to bend backwards to work for you.
That’s why southern rappers are amazing. Motherfuckers think it’s being lazy with words but the reality is that they have figured out how to break the rules of language to obey the wills of their raps. Rhymes are no longer confined behind the bars of proper annunciation. No one embodies this more than Gucci and if you can’t see the talent in the ability you shouldn’t be listening to this music.
