been waiting a hot minute for this record to finally drop. Since before the burners, before they ever toured, before they got on a blog, when thursdays at Madrone were still cool, when they only had one joint on a myspace, when no one knew what to call their music, before anyone came up with fucking laser bass, when dreadlocks didn’t jump around to their shit.
Not to say I’m more down than you but this record has been a long time coming. If you’ve been fucking with these dudes for a minute you understand, that was always the question: when the fuck you dropping an album?
Today is the day and I want this on vinyl. Their sound has gotten a lot more polished and cleaner from the days of lap top stutter in the back of the bar. These dudes are homies that SF has lost to other cities and this city will miss them but if it means they finally drop records well then fuck it, it’s worth it.
