I like this more gravel pit style that dose has been doing. Alias going in on the bass rather than poking an mpc is pretty cool too. New sounds from old guys is fun.
At last – here is the sequel to our 2009 mix, “Record Haterz”. This mix project was created using recordings culled from some of our favorite old bay area rap cassette tapes. Enjoy a mix of obscure heat and classic grooves, perfect for the whip or on the go. Warning: EXPLICIT Language! CDs/Cassettes available soon…

NEW 2014 ll MP3 Download: http://www.thizzler.com/blog/2014/4/15/ghost8800-rip-ft-gasss-wow-prod-ghost8800.html
This makes me sick… Last night the homie Ghost8800 was killed… No details yet, but whatever happened, it’s wack. There’s nothing sadder than wasted talent… The other day Ghost sent me a bunch of new music, and here’s my favorite from the ZIP file he sent over, featuring Gasss. Ghost8800 was a talented rapper & producer, and more than that, he was a good dude. He’ll definitely be missed. RIP homie.

If you don’t know about Houston Rap Tapes the book is dope but yeah this mix covers a lot of bases. More than your shitty tumblr anyways.
if only this dude had some download links
This randomly came up after listening to those new Black Twilight joints but damn this shit goes.
Yellaman on the raps and Heartbeatz on the production. Dallas style country rap tunes with a mandatory screwed chorus and raps about dreams of 1996 trying to celebrate that Ridin Dirty style. You’d be advised to peep anything Yellaman drops, I’ve been fucking with all his projects so far. Dude is on that ride out and jam shit. His voice makes me think of like if Rich Boy had a Texas accent and fucked with more beats that feel like tightening your grip on that wheel while you crawl through a corner one more time just to see that booty from behind.
sampler track ‘Wide Open Wound’ from the Nails album ‘Abandon All Life’.
I’m excited for a new Nails record
This set is dedicated to my Neighborhood Legends series on the RedefineHipHop Blog. LA was a MC from the North Chicago/Waukegan, IL area who did his thing circa ‘86-’90. He was part of the Rap group Wildstyle with AMC (Kevin Beacham).
